About Me

Jojo grew up on the US/Mexico border town of Del Rio, TX and grew up rich in his Mexican heritage. Due to the geographic nature of his youth, Jojo was subjected to all sorts of music and cultures at an early age, and those experiences are what have shaped not only his life, but his career. Music was his first love, from his band geek days in high school, to his time spent managing an up and coming artist in London. Jojo has worked in the business at an international level, and has continued to remain true to his roots and a true Texan at heart. A few years back, Jojo switched gears to the other side of the music industry, the side that was playing it, not breaking it...radio.

His talents were recognized early on, as he was first placed as one of the stunt guys for the "Deb & Dean In The Morning" on Mix 96.1 (KXXM-FM) in 2001. Change is constant in radio, and when a new morning show was assembled to replace Deb & Dean, it was never even a thought to replace Jojo. Instead, "The Woody Show" made Jojo a more intricate part of the show and his personality shone through. Jojo fast became a favorite of morning commuters in San Antonio who would listen to he and cohort "JJ" as The Olsen Twins raced for glory in the Intern 500, sacrificed their bodies in Rodeo Jackass, and became famous for the Great Turkey Launch of '03! In 2005 Jojo joined The Russell Rush Show on Mix 96.1 and helped to solidify the show as a San Antonio favorite and a constant ratings leader.

Jojo is very active in the club scene, and also mixes on the side for fun under the dj name ANTONIO_DEL. He is currently part of the elite TWISTED_MUZIK company which continues to dominate the electro scene in SA. In 2005 he was named one of the top 20 club hype men across the country by Club Coast To Coast Mag. His unique style on the mic is what makes the people flock the clubs.

Jojo has done TV work including an appearance on "Ripley's Believe It Or Not", he hosts a national internet radio show, and recently was invited to Los Angeles to assist in the launch of the new TBS series, "My Boys". Jojo also gives of his time for the community and holds his family very close. Many people find it interesting that one of his earliest jobs was as a teacher and even considered going to school for education. Ultimately, his love of music won out. With less than a decade of experience, he is already a true industry veteran, and continues to grow both professionally, and as a person.
